Overview

Hëíî-rêtî Bî was founded durring the early 13th century in spring of the year 1243, by Zlkëm Fyesê. The establishment of Hëíî-rêtî Bî was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Zlkëm Fyesê electing to pay people to resettle in Hëíî-rêtî Bî.

Hëíî-rêtî Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Hëíî-rêtî Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Hëíî-rêtî Bî is buildings are speckled and packed arround restrictive paverstone streets with seemingly no patern to them. It appears as if the town's residents simply built streets as they pleased and squeazed buildings in wherever and howeave rpossible, creating an organic, frustrating to navigate, maze of a town. The town has a defencive wall made from querried stone. The wall is equipped with a full set of battlments but the nature of its construction methodology leaves it somewhat vulnerable to siege equipment. That said, the town is well defended against anything short of an army. Hëíî-rêtî Bî's cost-cutting-focused defences are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

A look around Hëíî-rêtî Bî seems to be home to a quite vibrant and boisterous community. Everywhere one looks they can see people going out their daily business with a smile and a spring in their step. Children play loudly in the streets, causing untold havoc as youth are want and allowed to do. On second glance, that chaos continues into adulthood. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes. Yet there are small elements here and there which show the underlying structure of the community. It’s just so complex, organic, and flowing one can only understand what is a piece of the puzzle, but not what its neighbors are.

Hëíî-rêtî Bî has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Hëíî-rêtî Bî's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Hëíî-rêtî Bî has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Cultural Notes

Hëíî-rêtî Bî's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.

Due to the actions of local Kami, winter is skipped in Hëíî-rêtî Bî.

The Crawling Hand near Hëíî-rêtî Bî are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Hëíî-rêtî Bî's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves line dance to channel Summoning energies of tier 2 via moments of science.

Points of Interest

Hëíî-rêtî Bî produces something unique, a good or service that cannot be had anywhere else in the kingdom. This may be due to some unique resource found only there, or some carefully-guarded craft, or it may be a special service that can only be provided by the locals, who are somehow unique in their forms or abilities.

Due to a magical anomaly, Hëíî-rêtî Bî is directly accessible from a nearby river, despite the lack of a physical connection between the town's pond and the river.

POI

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century the Vïtái-njil Holt was struck by a drought when Pond Otero grew too small to continue feeding River Nicotona, which reduced the available water supply nationwide, but was especially harsh in the area arround Hëíî-rêtî Bî. As the neighboring regions had no water so spare, Hëíî-rêtî Bî lost 150 people, and 202 livestock in the disaster.. The drought lasted for 2 weeks, which are remembered as the Calamity Thirst.
